During my internship at Service Express, I worked closely with both the US and UK teams, contributing to a variety of high-profile design projects across multiple channels. As an intern, I was entrusted with significant responsibilities that ranged from webpage redesigns to digital advertising and event assets. My work supported Service Express’s global marketing efforts, reinforcing their brand presence and delivering creative solutions that aligned with business goals.

HTML5 Display Ads

Goal:
Design and develop dynamic HTML5 ads for the new service campaign aimed at lead generation and increasing awareness about the new service.
Approach:
I created a variety of interactive ads using Google Web Designer that adhered to Service Express's brand guidelines and that worked for different lengths of text. These ads were designed to be visually engaging while maintaining a clear message.
Outcome:
The ads led to a measurable increase in web traffic and user interactions, aligning with Service Express’s goals of boosting digital engagement and conversion with the new service.

Website

Goal:
Enhance website visuals and overall user experience through cohesive, high-quality design.
Approach:
I collaborated with the web team to create optimized graphics, select updated imagery, and develop icons used across the site. This included balancing image quality with performance to ensure fast load times and a smooth user experience. I also helped refresh outdated visuals to better align with the brand, all while applying UX principles to guide design decisions.
Outcome:
The updated website achieved a more cohesive and modern look, improved usability, and delivered a strong first impression that reflected a professional, user-focused brand.

Print Design

Goal:
Create and update print designs for various events while maintaining brand consistency and high production quality.
Approach:
I designed materials for trade shows, charity events, and career fairs, learning to tailor layouts to print specifications to ensure accurate color and sizing. I also modified existing design files by updating copy and imagery for new events, carefully preserving the original design integrity while incorporating fresh content.
Outcome:
The final print materials were polished, consistent, and production-ready, effectively supporting a range of events while reinforcing the brand’s visual identity.

UK Customer Appreciation Event

Goal:
Design digital and physical marketing materials for a UK customer event at Holland & Holland gun room.
Approach:
This was one of our largest UK events of the year and I was tasked with creating the branding/design system for the event. I started by analyzing Holland & Holland and what elements made their brand unique. I chose to encorporate their sophisticated dark green color, the elegant floral engravings on their guns and images of the scenic countryside into my designs. I branded my materials to be in line with Holland & Holland so they were cohesive with the design of the actual in-person event. Pictured are the save the date and the table setting welcome card. I also designed name tags, a landing page banner for the webpage and custom icons.
Outcome:
The event was a success and customers noted that the marketing materials elevated the event and made it feel more special. Figuring out how to balance the unique elements of Holland & Holland with the Service Express brand was fun challenge. I enjoyed looking through Holland & Hollands content and getting to design with their brand elements.
